Have you ever had an idea for something new and no matter how excited you get, it seems the people around you are never as excited.

You know what I’m talking about. You get a new exercise video and you’re excited to do it, but your spouse says “That’s a waste of money. You’ll never do that.” You get an online course and you’re pumped to learn some new skills, and as soon as you start telling a friend about it they say “Oh that’s a crazy idea! You’ll never do that.” Sometimes, it’s even disguised a little bit. It might be they don’t actually tell us we can’t do it. Maybe they just giggle for a second or roll their eyes, but it happens to all of us and the first thing to do is be aware that it happens.

Then you can begin to do something differently and have a different outcome.

One of the absolute most important things for you to do is surround yourself with people that love and support, not only you, but the things that you’re trying to do. Your mission is to create a tight knit group that sends you good intention and good energy. It’s called a support system, and it’s literally a group of people that you choose to share your goals and dreams with.

Here’s the catch though. Those people must send you back messages of SUPPORT. Things like “You can do it. I believe in you. You’re a champion.” Without a support system we tend to let other people’s voices become louder than our own. We let other people’s beliefs influence and sway us away from our goals, and it’s just the nature of unhappy people.

“You can do it. I believe in you. You’re a champion.”

So, if you are aware of this, then you can use this power to your advantage. By having a “Support System” you will be influenced and impacted by the positive reinforcement that your team gives you. Even if its a small group of friends, or it’s a forum on a Facebook page. Even if it’s just a blog of like-minded people that are going through something similar, make it a priority to have that constant input of positive attention from people that want to see you win.
